Subject: New arrival

A large green and gold horse lorry reversed up the drive and parked in front of the yard on the gravel. Ryan popped his head around the feed room where he mixing horses feeds. "Must be that horse Fiona's dad bought." He said aloud, making his way over. A young male groom hopped out of the cabin, pulled down the ramp and began to untie a very breedy looking grey thoroughbred mare. The led her down the ramp, the mare quivering in excitment, stomping up and down, whisking her bandaged tail. She circled around, kicking up gravel as the boy undid her travel boots. Ryan took her head and steadied her. She snorted. The boy turned to Ryan. "Silly cow isn't she? Names Poetry in motion, looks to be abit of a dressage star. Only about 5 ish. Some rich guy just bought her for his spoilt daughter." Ryan smiled, containing his humour and patted her silky white neck. She pointed her tiny ears, rotating them around, sweet brown eyes, covered by long curling eyelashes blinked as she took in her new surroundings. "Imported from Ireland, I've got her papers in the cabin." The boy went and fetched em'. "Best be off sir, good luck with her." He said and hopped back into the driving seat. Ryan stood be-wildered in the middle of the yard. An expensive mare in one hand, pink papers in the other. "C-mon mare." He said, and led her to a waiting stable. Made sure she was comfortable and then went to find Fiona.
