My memory of T in the Park 2000 is canny funny actually.

I remember me and Phil went to see Glenn Tilbrook (the lead singer from Squeeze)in one of the smaller tents at T and half way through his set, someone shouted 'COOL FOR CATS!' He doesn't usually play that though because the singing part is too deep for him (was Chris Difford who used to sing it). So, he said "if anyone's willing to come up and sing it, I'll be happy to play it". As Phil knew all the words I made him volunteer. Hehe. There's Phil onstage with his hero about to sing Squeeze's most famous song. So after much clapping and cheering, Glenn says 'ready?....Nice and deep now' and Phil lets out the most almighty squeak and the tent is in stitches. HAHA. I think he was a bit nervous! After that though he did a marvellous rendition of Cool For Cats. Will never forget it. I have no video or photographic evidence unfortunately cos I left me camera in the fuckin tent :(
