For those of you who don't follow Wrestling, another one of those Craptatular moments in wrestling occured last night during the NWA: TNA show on ppv.

Let me set the stage a bit. Back a number of years ago (1997 or so) The then WWF was doing gangbusters in the ratings. Crushing WCW. The man who took credit for this was Vince Russo, who along with a few flunkys were offered lots of money to go to WCW, where they basically ran up an 80 million dollar debt, crushed the ratings even more, and helped drive the company out of business. After WCW went under he floated around a few places (Including a womans fed that promptly went out of business) and all of a sudden a few months ago WWE anounced that he had been hired as a writer. Realizing what the hell they did, he was quickly demoted to being an Adviser and eventually left to become the head writer for the NWA:TNA federation that was doing lousy business (And still is except with a new owner). His impact was immediate with such crap and a "gay" Alan Funk holding the Women's title, Nose picking and butt scratching Hillbillies the Dupps, a midget flashing a gun, and taking the world Title off someone with real credability (Ken Shamrock) and putting on a Midcarder black man who schtick was that Everyone else was racist and he was being held down by "the man" (Ron "K kwik" Killings). Then word started getting around that Russo and then owner Jerry Jarrett (Once heir aparent to the WWF and Father of guess who...) were having a massive power struggle backstage over the direction of the company. Suddenly Russo disapears for over a month, the company is sold to an Energy Firm (!) and all seemed well....untill Ron Killings was attacked by a guy dressed in An all white outfit, complete with pointy hood, and white mask. Immediatly a shit storm erruptsand the man appeared again a few more times with "Mr. Wrestling 3" written on his shirt (Like that makes a whole lot of difference). Then during a match, the masked man came out and revealed to be Russo himself! Unfortunatly NONE of the talent was told (Including Killings evidently..). Now you've got an entire locker room that is not only pissed off with Russo, but at the Heads of the Company (To the point where X pac LEFT and several others were audibly angery)

Well last night the NWA: TNA held another one of there weekly PPV broadcasts. The first person to come out was none other then Rowdy Roddy Piper, Someone who I've been a fan of for a LONG time. He goes into a speil about how the self described "Anti Christ of Wrestling" is destroying ANOTHER federation. A plot Russo has played out a bazillion times before. Then all of a sudden Piper starts telling how russo "Wrote Owen Harts Death" and then pulled off his shirt to reveal He wore a shirt with names like Owen Hart, Art Barr, Rick Rude, Adrian Adonis and Brian Pillman's name on it with a black arm band. After basically killing the show before ANY matches started. They finally ended the banter....

But it wan't enough, after one Match Russo comes BACK out and rambles on about how the Fans want Sex, Vulgarity, Violence yadda yadda yadda basically setting up ANOTHER version of the "Powers that be/New Blood" stoyline that he's tried before.

I'm not going to even concider the rest of the crap from last night (Hennigs Bull shit interveiw, The promoters son is world Champ, and Pual Bearer?) and then to make this situation even STUPIDER, as soon as the event ends a Press Release is sent out to a few of the Wrestling sites from Piper saying that Everything that happened was a complete shoot, none of it was scripted, no one even knew what he was going to say, Russo wasn't scripted to come out and respond, he wasn't payed, and that the NWA sent out the Harris Twims to clear the situation.

BULL SHIT!

There are a billion points that make this a complete farce

1) Due to an Injury a sceduled match didn't happen this week and they had time to kill, isn't it interesting that this segment ran just enough time to fill that without bumping any of there other matches?

2) If this was a total shoot and the comments were so bad why didn't NWA just turn off the mic and go to a video peice instead of keep showing him?

3) So let me get this strait, You got a totally unscripted moment in the ring and you need to clear it out, so instead of security or Cops, you send two Wrestlers? Not only that but the same two guys who joined up with Russo at the end of the show?

4) What the hell does Adrian Adonis dieing in a Car accident in 1988 have to do with Vince Russo?

5)If Piper wanted a forum to adress Wrestling so bad, why couldnit he wait untill Friday when his website releases a "Shoot Interveiw" from Piper himself?

6) The last two paragraphs of the Press Release highlight not only his site and the Interveiw, but His book as well.

7) Who the hell write a Press Release THAT fast?

8) And the biggest point of all, This is Vince Russo. The man who made his Carear off of "worked shoots".

Frankly, I'm Ashamed. I'm ashamed that at one time I concidered this federation to be a good thing, I'm ashamed for the GREAT Wrestlers who go out and do Five Star matches Every week that keep this federation going (Watch some of there X division matches and find out what I mean) only to be overshadowed by utter shit, I'm ashamed that at one time I was a major fan of Roddy Piper, a man who now uses Owen Hart and several other Deceased Wrestlers to sell his book and Website, I'm ashamed that even without Russo the Jarretts major plots suck, and In a way I'm ashamed Russo. the Jarretss, the Armstrongs, and every other higher up in NWA TNA has gotten so out of touch that they actually think any Wrestling Fan Beleive all this shit was a Shoot.

I just lost a lot of Respect for a lot of People tonight.
