Subject: New Board Update

Okay, this is where things stand with the new board. I have things uploaded to two different providers. Unfortunatly both have there "Quirks" as it were.

Server number 1:Uploads and works fine, a little slow sometimes but is working fine, EXCEPT the Server doesn't allow SMTP, which means that if you joined, you can't receive Emails from me with your username and password on them (you'd still get in just fine). A minor thing, but one I'd hope to avoid. As it now, you'd get a few debug errors, but I can fix it so the errors didn't come up at all.

Server Number 2: Uploads worked fine, works the way it's supossed to EXCEPT The provider itself has been screwy for the last week or so. The problem lies with the Mysqul databases. So basically evertime you tried to click on a button, you'd get a 404 message, then have to press the back button and then you'd be where you want.

So, at this point it's this. I'm waiting to see if Server number 2 clears up it's problems, if not, then we'll probably go with Server number 1, and just have to deal with that email problem by posting a message saying to REMEMBER your info, write it down, email to yourself.

Now before you all go and Say "Just keep this one and forget it." i can tell you these phpbb message boards are a lot better then Voy is. Not only do we get the advantages of Private Messaging, seeing who's online, ability to edit messages, Smiles,Avatars and Sigs, better look, and a lot more fun, BUT they give me better security and creativity controls. The only drawback, phpbb has probs with AOL accounts. I think though they can be fixed.

Besdies, I'd be looking for a few moderators, and if any of you had an idea for your own forum section in it, It can be created with not much of a headache.

As for this board. Once things get figured out and settled down. And we make the change, I'll keep this around as a Doomsday backup. Say if one of you can't get access to the other board, and didn't have my email. You could post here and I could check on it.
