Hala enters her house, walking slowly over to her curtain area. Grabbing the water pot by her door, she empties it into the snow outside, filling it up with more of the powdery material and setting it over the fire to melt into more water. That small task accomplished, Hala reaches into a pocket of one of her furs, pulling out a small comb carved from bone. Running the comb through her hair, Hala stares at the fire. She felt much better today than she had yesterday. That probably had something to do with the fact the Ketan was back and not stalking her brother somewhere. Or maybe it was just that Ketan was back. Beginning to braid her hair, Hala nudges a bit more kindling into the fire with her foot, beginning to hum the song about Mother Earth and Father Sky again. For some reason, that song made her forget reality, and she needed that right now. Otherwise distracted, Hala lets her unfinished hair drop, where it curls slightly. Hala continues the song, sitting limp, staring at the fire.
