Subject: What's next?

This board is a backup created at a time when Locos was going down for several days in a row and won't be a permanent solution. Make sure you have this place bookmarked though, as it provides a way of keeping the Gaucho online community together.

Options for the future...

1) A board on the "BW Boards" site (http://insiders2.ezboard.com/bbigwest), assuming that Paul and Jon would have us. The downside is that the URL makes it hard to find and it isn't as configurable as other options.

2) A board on the "BW Boards" site with a fan site on top of it (sorta like Eaction's setup with the WBB site). We could get an appropriate URL (ex: www.gauchoskickass.com) and point to our new board at the BW forums.

3) An independent EZBoard (like the "BW Boards" but not in that small network). The advantage of having our own board should be better configurability. A fan site could be laid on top of this one too.

4) Look into the Rivals and Insiders networks. I don't know if they'd want UCSB in their network (most of the schools are BCS-types, although Fullerton, USU and Pepperdine have sites). If so, they'd require semi-frequent articles. I'll look into this if you guys want.

5) Wait and see if Locos comes back.

Any others?
