I totally agree, for the same reasons. My sentimental favorite is WBB (as long as MBB is excluded), while WVB would seem to have the best chance.

Alas, unless and until UC budgets are restored, and SB decides to use some of it for a real pool, MWP is not likely to repeat any time soon. It will be interesting to see how far vom Steeg's program can go under the present UCSB shackles. I'm not familiar with his funding, but it would appear he's doing it mostly on personal rep - very impressive.
