 I was a bit scared Saturday afternoon, when the fires were burning on some nearby hills, but the wind changed before it reached my place.

I took all the standard bushfire precautions I've always read about though - hosed down the roof, filled the gutters, soaked towels, filled the bathtub and packed the car in case I had to evacuated at a moment's notice. I'm so happy none of them were needed!
