I thought I would give you the scoop on how the first meeting went, considering it's in the can, and Ana didn't take minutes because it was rather unofficial. The reason it was unoffial is that we didn't have a room reserved yet, most clubs don't have one yet since it is so early in the semester but we did manage to get the use of the Ragan room for a few hours so we held it there.
Javier was gracious enough to run the meeting considering our co-chairs have resigned, and he did a fantastic job.
There was a representative from disable students (I think is where she was from) and she spoke about services available to new students on campus. This made a nice segway into the orientations from 1-3 PM.
That's all for now, next week we will have a presentation on the Dream Act. This weekend I am going to the leadership conference in Lake Arrowhead, I am very excited about this and I might even have a report to bring back to the club.
