hawks web site has an interactive q&a with coach Martelli (apparently indirectly, but presumably his responses to the questions). today he was asked why they scheduled the Bison the next three years. the response:

"They agreed to play a 2 for 1 series which we were looking for. It is a bonus that young John Griffin is playing for them."

sounds so easy when he says it like that. i doubt it is, but hopefully we can get some similar deals in upcoming years with some comparable schools.
