Just wanted to congratulate you all on a fine season. Even though it will end Friday, you have much to be proud of. In advance of our big showdown, I thought you might like to know a little bit about your opponent -- the Kansas Jayhawks. Of course, it is no secret that this group of Kansas seniors is probably the most dominating senior class since the Laettner/Hurley Duke teams of the early 90's. Two final fours, one elite eight. They've been there and done that and will be ready to step it up for the drive to the title. The team is led by Wayne Simien, a sure early lottery pick. He can score inside and out and has a 48" vertical leap. Wayne is a Christian Warrior. Sometimes he is slow down court because he stops to thank the Lord after grabbing a rebound. He's everybody's player of the year. Maybe even of the century. There are some rumors that he will bypass the NBA to go to seminary school or join the Peace Corps. He will remind you a lot of the late, great Packer, Reggie White. Keith Langford is another player who will remind you of a great Wisconsin player. Think a left handed Dwayne Wade. Like Wade he has been forced to play a wing in college, but is really a natural point guard with incredible range, great hops, and a killer crossover. Most people see him going in the late lottery as the steal of the draft. His mom is a coach. Aaron Miles. What can you say about the all time NCAA leader in assists and the best 3 point shooter in the country. He is deadly. J.R. Giddens has been up and down, but when he's up, it's way up. He has a 50" vertical and can shoot from 30 feet. Could be a first rounder this year, but will come back because he loves KU and wants to defend his title. Should be lotto next year. The final starter is Christian Moody. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that this kid is a rocket scientist. The Greatest Walk on of All Time according to Billy Packer. He's a real glue guy who does all the little things and makes the stars better. Should be the Academic All American of the year this year which will get his jersey retired along with Jacque Vaughn. We are all real proud of our all "Christian" frontcourt. LOL!! Well, that's it for now. I'll come back when I have more time to bring you up to date on our reserves. I have never seen a town that thinks it is so progressive be more culturaly, and racially divided than this town.
