Subject: THE PLAGUE THAT IS GRANDMASTER HAN

I am not a huge fan of taekwondo and the fact that there is at least one tkd school in every one-horse town from coast to coast further irritates me. BUT.... There is much to be said for the fact that while it is easy to learn how to wave your foot around in the air and memorize a truly prodigous amount of patterned and one, three, and five step nonsense, it is much more rare to find a truly good and capable teacher of martial arts. That means that I don't have to worry near as much about runninng up against near as many talented martial artists in my various endeavors. YOU guys have got most of the best and brightest mired down breaking boards and doing "forms." Here in southern Missouri, tkd is a literal plague upon the land. You CAN'T go five miles without seeing another Korean flag bedecked fecal-flyer running about shouting the gospel of increased flexibility and straight A's for the kiddies! Oh... realistic knife-defense? Why shore! That is, I think I've got one of those left around here somewhere. I think... BUT ANYWAY, sign here and several thousand dollars and a couple years later you can have one of these nifty pieces of dyed-black cloth. That is, of course, if you show up at least once a week for HAN WORSHIP, oops, I mean.. "class."
