Subject: Homecoming Fundraiser - Hall of Fame Inductee Event

The following was sent to me by Paul DeGaeta - mark your calendars if you are able to make this fun event. I was able to go down last year and had a great time when we honored Teddy Alexander. Congratulations Boo Boo!

-----------------------------------------------

On Saturday October 18th The Tarpon Reunion Scholarship Committee will hold its second annual Homecoming fundraiser with a celebration honoring football Hall of Fame Inductees at the Woman’s Club on Sullivan Street. This year’s inductees include our own Harold “Boo Boo” Weaver CHS Class of 1972.

Since we never got to celebrate the induction of Harold “Mackie” Mack and Burton Lawless, we will use this event to honor all three of these fine Tarpons dubbed by the press as “The Three Musketeers” who hail from the Noble Subdivision of Punta Gorda. As always, new or past Tarpon Hall of Fame inductees are welcomed as our guest and will also be honored.

This year’s keynote speaker will be the Tarpon’s own 2003 District 10 4-A Football Coach of the year, “Binky” Waldrop. Open-bar cocktails will begin at 6PM, and a great two entrée home cooked buffet with Southern side-dishes (cooked by Paul DeGaeta and Peggy Keen) will commence at 7PM.

Cost is $35 per person or $60 per couple. All profits will go to the Tarpon Reunion Committee Scholarship Fund. This event helped us raise the money that enabled us to award $2,000 in scholarships to college bound Tarpons in 2003.

Our charity auction will feature a Maine Windjammer Vacation for two aboard the Victory Chimes (As seen on the Maine State Quarter), jewelry donated by Jewelry by FM, and much more.

Seating is limited to 100 guests, so please send a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold your place (Or a donation if you can’t make it) made out to:

Tarpon Reunion Scholarship Fund / Paul DeGaeta
2936 Peace River Drive
Punta Gorda, FL 33983.

Special Hall of Fame T-Shirts will be available at the event.
