I can't remember all those Sallie Jones teachers but I do remember mine. That ugly, mean Mrs. Omens for 1st grade. She had bucked teeth and wore combat boots. She shook me so hard one time I thought I'd never be the same again. Then I had Miss Mendoeza for 2nd grade and I just loved her. 3rd grade was Miss Bornner. She was nice but a little strange.4th grade was Miss McKnight and I think everybody loved her.5th Grade was Miss Boeman. She was beautiful with that red hair and always dressed just perfect.6th grade was Mrs.Nolan and Mrs.Doby. Thats the year they split the boys and girls up.Mrs Nolan could be mean but she liked me so we got along fine. And Mrs. Doby has always been my favorite. She had two of my sisters so they paved the way for me.And don't forget Mr.Spurlock for P.E. We had Miss Moore as Principal and Mrs.Orr ran the school.Thats all I remember at this time and some of it might be a little mixed up.
