Hi Paul,

This is the email I got a while ago. I've been trying to confirm it ever since.

This was forwarded to me from Alex:

Hi Alex,

I produced only the first two seasons of Sweating Bullets.  It was an adventure, shooting first in verdant Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, trying to simulate the Florida Keys, and then later in the deserts of Eilat, Israel.

In both locations we were blessed with great crews and excellent actors.
Both Rob Stewart and Carolyn Dunn were a joy to work with.

The show moved around from country to country because of the necessity of co-production funds.  The final move (to South Africa for the body of the show and to Martinique for the beach scenes) was the most difficult of all
and I wisely jumped ship for that part of the cruise.  In the end, the show lost its CBS deal which was the most significant piece of the financing, and had to end.  I think they hoped to revive it (which is why there would be no
final episode), but the actors had worked three difficult years (away from home, working gruelling 6-day work weeks) and were all ready to move on to something else.

I went on to work on several series, including "Secret Service" (NBC), "Due SOuth" (CBS), "Eerie, Indiana: The Other Dimension" (Fox), and "Codename:Eternity" (Warner Bros.), as well as many freelance episodes of series,
including "La Femme Nikita", "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids", "Relic Hunter" the Pilot Movie for "Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World" and many others.

Unfortunately, John David Bland who played Nick's sidekick, Ian, in the first series later died.  Carolyn has worked on various projects in the intervening years.  Rob Stewart has appeared in guest spots on a number of L.A. series for the last few years and was one of the series leads in,
"Peter Benchley's Amazon" a German/Canadian co-production that was shot her last year.  Ian Tracey, who played Spider in the later two seasons, stars in an excellent Canadian police drama, DaVinci's inquest, which is shot in
Vancouver.

Hope this information helped.

Peter Mohan
