Most everyone wants to do things their way. Even devout Christians look for "wiggle room" in the commandments and other instructions from God. Jesus says if you love me you will keep my commandments. We say we love Jesus and still go our own way on many of His teachings.

Human nature is what it is but when it comes to things such as homosexuality that is a sin against nature. It is not man's nature to engage in sexual acts with the same gender. That is Satan's nature. (Jude vss. 6-7)

Many don't learn from the past because they don't know the past especially in spiritual matters. Many who don't read their Bible don't even realize what God did to Israel for her sins against Him.

We are seeing the judgment of God on America but how many think it's God's hand and not just natural phenomenon.
A person that goes out in society and says "repent, the end of the world is at hand" will be treated exactly like the ones they mockingly put on street corners in disaster movies to get a laugh out of the crowd. God will one day remove the laughter.
