My wife & I haven't been to Ios for years. When we were there there were not any non-touristic tavernas with traditional homemade food. While there were nudist beaches the whole island seemed to be overrun with club 18-25 type people, noisy, drunken and so on. Going for a walk in the morning you would encounter people sleeping beside the road who had been too drunk to get home the night before. It was a pity since the island itself was very pretty but we bailed out as soon as the next ferry came in which was going where we wanted to go! It might no longer be like that now but take care!
