Subject: Getting to know you and the plot

If you would, please tell us a bit about your character. Just a brief history and description. Unless you want to give more, then by all means do so.

Now, about the setting. A medieval style world with a few differences. About 7000 years ago there was an advanced civilization on the planet. They had many strange technologies that no one in the modern era understands. A few people dare to explore the ruins. No one is really quite clear as to what brought about the end of this civilization. A few ancient legends say that a great evil came from the skies and that in a great battle with the civilization's greatest heroes it was destroyed, but at the cost of the civilization itself. Of course these are only legends.

A few mad scientist try to revive the wonders of the ancients. One of their most promising leads is into what they call ‘steam power'. With it they claim to be able to generate the type of power needed to run many of the other technologies of the ancients.

Let's try and keep the weaponry in theme if we can. No plasma rifles. Muskets on the other hand are acceptable. Just remember that at best you can get off three shots per minute. And they're not very accurate. And they take a lot of maintenance. But other than that, feel free to use them.
