Yes, they are called ghost because while they appear to be real, they actually are not. They are caused by "random electronic noise" (their own terms), but I prefer to state that geomagnetic resonance energy that has been at a high level in Southern CA the last 2 years, but especially the last 4 months, has triggered these "false" events.
