You also do not need teaching credentials to homeschool, but you do need an advisor. The Melting Pot support group (and I'm sure the other ones provide this service too) can sign off on your homeschooling application form as your advisor if you contact them.

Also, have you had any specific issues with the school that you could share or is it just public education in general?
