It was obvious whoever had stormed the castle had taken the queen hostage, but why did they only take the queen? This terrorist group must not have been after control of the government, but only money. This was good news, the bad news was that this organization actually had the firepower to storm the castle and simply walk off with our queen. It was very unlikely that Ava, Ashur, and myself would be able to get the queen back without backup, therefore I decided to somehow come in contact with my squad of operatives. I didn't always work alone to gather intelligence, sometimes my job involved storming buildings, breaking things, and quite often, killing people. Therefore I was assigned to be the commander of Delta Squadron. We were the best trained, most covert, and most lethal group of special operatives in the kingdom and I would need the entire squad to help me with this operation. I got Ava and Ashur's attention and signaled for them to stop, we were chasing horsed opponents on foot and without any weapons of our own, save two swords and my guns.
"Why are we chasing after these guys unarmed and unhorsed? Even if we did catch them, how can we hope of getting the queen back against such heavily armed opponents?" I asked.
"Well, we have to at least know where they are hiding so that we can come back and seize her," said Ashur.
"Good point, I've got an idea. Ashur, you go ahead and scout out where they are hiding, do not be seen, and Ava and I will return to the city to get backup and then we'll meet you at the Boar's Head Tavern in three hours, okay?"
Before I'd even finished talking Ashur was running up the path so Ava and I turned and headed back to the city.
"Now where exactly are we going to find enough people trained to take down a group of heavily armed and battle hardened terrorists?" asked Ava.
"You'd be surprised..."was my reply.
