Weekends -- Jay, 18:17:32 10/04/02 Fri

It bothers me less and less. I think I'm getting used to it.
Every weekend it is the same. My lady friend ignors me, and
does other things. Not even a phone call. Months go by.
During the week she phones me, to say trite nothing and
tie me up with long, pregnant lapses in the conversation.
This got worse and worse, until a month ago I went into
alcoholic relapse and began drinking vodka again. So, off
I went to detox and rehab, again. I know I would have done
better and not relapsed if I'd had a little loving support.
But, anymore? I don't expect any loving support. It's become
a joke. I hang with myself, giving myself the self-love I
need. I surf the net (as usual), but more than anything
I try to keep myself focused on my own worth, despite what
others think of me, despite the way I'm taken for granted,
ignored, or thrown out as so much human garbage. I'm
reading more Bible scrpture, not drinking, have quit
smoking, have been eating better, sleeping better, and
have begun working out. In other words, I'm self-directed
now. A lot could backfire on those who claim to be my
friends but completely ignore or vilify me. They say what
goes around comes around. In any event, I worry less and
less about it all the time. I'm concerned with my own
happiness, from God, and from within. Not from these others
who inevitably short-change me. Thanks for reading. I'm
new to this forum. I'll bookmark it, I guess.

What I can do during a lonely weekend is work
a bit on my html. Also, and this is important, I want
others here to know that I am checking in fairly
frequently to be available to read and be an eye for
people's gripes. I've suffered a lot from loneliness,
depression, drug and alcohol abuse, the inability to "get"
religion, being a family black sheep, you name it. Oh,
and always being short o'money. So chances
are I'll know with a sympathetic heart where you're
coming from. No judgements upon you.

Other things I Can do on weekends are to
attend a Saturday night prayer and Bible group at a friend's
home, and go to church services on Sunday.

Oh, and I found out a bit more about my lady friend.
She never out and says what she's up to, but I get little
bits and pieces from her by prying ever so slightly. She's
been going to shows in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on the
weekends. Well, when she phoned here I brought up the cost
of the tickets for these shows. For instance, she'd seen
Paul McCartney, and that's got to be expensive. Anyway,
I learned that she gets tickets from this guy who is a
ticket agent. So, I am thinking, like, ahhhh, okay...

See, she tells me on the one hand that I'm special to her,
yah-day-yah, and so forth. But about all I have right now
to Give her is myself. I can play tennis with
her, go on walks with her, spend quiet time together with
her and hold hands and nice little things like that.

Now these are the things that I, like Thought
a relationship is about. But, hey, I'm frequently wrong
about things. I often figure things in ways that aren't
the ways things happen in the real world. Now, if I were
the ticket agent guy, I'd be In, right?

Hehehehe. See, this is why I'm not really into caring.
Sure, I feel pain, and on a daily basis over stuff like
this. My life has been this. Being alone. It hurts.
And I'm tired of fighting this, or letting it win, and
getting me to go off drinking, and hurting myself over
what others are doing, or not doing, to me, or with me.

Well, that's my installment for today. Hope others will
come in here and share some of their own ideas.

Hello, again:

Friday, October 11, 2002. In other words, the dreaded weekend.
The depression over being alone every weekend is getting worse.
I am praying, exercising, trying everything I can to survive
this. The mental pain has lately been certainly psychic, i.e.,
emotions and feelings, but, now also, affecting my head, as if
it is aching alot. I notice that I am dizzy a lot. I go for a
walk and I am dizzy. Some of this might be that I have quit
smoking, now 16 days ago.

I have been trying to reach a friend whom I used to see.
However, I am getting an answering machine each time I phone.
I feel as though I am in much, too much pain. This should not be.
Was anyone meant to feel unnecessary pain like this? I am entirely
unsure of how I am going to be able to handle this. I feel on a
very dangerous edge of maybe relapsing into drinking, which would
put me into the hospital, again. I can't have that. I feel like
throwing in the towel and smoking, but, there again, I know that
is not any solution.

People think that I have it so easy. I don't have it easy. I don't have squat! I have a million things on my mind right now, I'm totally depressed. And noone unserstands. It seems as though everyone around me just blabs out their own personal problems, bitching and moaning about their daily life. When I'm having a really bad week, its like everyone I complain or express my thoughts to, tells me that I have it good, just so they can go on whining about themselves because they are not used to me bitching all the time, like they do. My problems may not seem as severe to you as they do to me. We all have problems and sometimes need someone to help lighten the load. I'm not getting any help. I just get told what I should be doing WHEN I'M NOT SEEKING ADVICE. In other words, when I need advice I can't get it, but when I don't need advice, I get more than enough advice on things I'm already perfectly aware of. I don't have it good. Her are a few examples:
1.} I don't have a car
2.} I miss my family
3.} My family could give 2 shits about me
4.} I'm poor
5.} I need to go to the dentist
6.} I'm poor
7.} I can't do any of my hobbies besides writing because

9.} I need a haircut really bad

This online journal thing is an awsome idea. I can release my thoughts....think difficult situations through...vent neccissary and unneccissary feelings, feel like someone is listening quietly, reread my thoughts, then react properly in a nonagressive way. Well, its only my second post, so I guess I shouldn't make such an early statement. I guess I just FEEL like this journal is going to be helpful. I can express my immediate feelings without hurting anyones' feelings. I can express things that I wouldn't express to anyone face to face. My first reaction to things is often rediculous so I often just keep things inside and think about the situation, then speak. This way I can express myself {don't keep it bottled up} Then react. We'll see.
Imma crazy girl, really. I keep a lid on things very well, considering the things I've gone through. Better than most in the aspect of thinking things through before reacting. There are so many things wrong with my life. On the outside I am bubbly and happy, pretty much all the time. I have my bad days. The inside is an entirely different story. Internal scars that just won't go away. I try to get over things and forget the past, but scars never heal. They fade, but they never go away. I don't think anyone on this planet truely understands me. Some are close, but not completely. Terrible feeling. Sometimes I'll think someone completely understands, but no.........false

I must vent about a few things.
1.}I'm involved with a person that wanted to move to D.C. Then he wanted to move to Florida, then he wanted to move to Atlanta, then he wanted to move to the center of the United States because the end of the world was coming. This has all happened in a one year period. Now he's asking me where I would like to move to. Does it even matter? We'll never get there, because his mind will change in a matter of months. I need stability. Its freaking me out.
2.}I write this man poetry, I give him little love notes every other day. Not exaggerating. Tonight, I asked him to snuggle me while we were laying in bed. I ask him to snuggle me quite often, and recently have been getting denied more so. My ex used to do that shit to me. It doesn't take ANY effort whatsoever, to hold someone in your arms. When he and I first got together I told him of the exs' withholding of suggles. He then told me that situation would never happen between us. UH HELLO! I hate to bitch to him about this because its such a small thing. Well it would be a small thing to him. Its major to me. I need some sugar lovins. Why don't guys understand this. And if he does in fact understand this, why the hell would he withhold knowing how I feel? DAMMIT KRAMMIT!
