Storing an image to use for your signature is really quite easy. This question has arrisen so often that I thought it might help to have a list to print and to view sample pictures of the screens you will see.

Before you start, make a folder on your desktop and have a small gif or jpeg in it.

Start your Zing account here

As you start the sign up for Zing.. you will enter through the INBOX and you need something to put into the album... when that first picture is in the inbox NAVIGATE TO THE ALBUM..
Oh, don't forget to bookmark the ALBUM.. (not the inbox) you won't need to remember your password if you do it that way.. Then you have very fast entry to go to work. The inbox is confusing at first.

The album page is the best place to start. Then the best place to begin an upload (just for gifs and jpegs) is the left column that says add a picture.

Then choose: upload direct... then a page comes up and you browse to find your pictures.. not too many.. Too many pictures take lots of time to upload... try 3 or less at a time.

When you have the pictures in the system, there is a place where you can write the title. I like to add the KB value here and the pixel size in the top label.. something you can see easily if you want to add something fancy (like div tags and text placement or a frame)

Signature files should be small from 3 to 10KB.
Larger pictures take a long time to load. Do your reader a favor and keep the file under 10 kb.

Once you have the picture in the album, (not the inbox) if you load from the album, you put the picture IN the album..

Go back to the album and click on the new picture.. watch the address in the bar at the top. the "id" numbers change.. then click on the picture AGAIN...the address changes to something with the word picture ..in it. THAT's the thing to copy and paste into the file here on the forum.

Because this computer changes the real codes I can only show you a portion.. a sample of what that picture address would look like this.. Note that parts of the address are missing at the beginning.. m/picture/ff/d8/9f/7/ffd89f7c.gif.orig.gif

Hmm why not print this out before you startzing?
