Subject: Night life at Redang?

Hi im lookin for a resort in Redang with a place where my friends and i are able to enjoy some beer and maybe a live band when the night sets in. Preferred choices are the few in middle price range. Any advice anyone? Thanks!

Redang Beach resort has modern facilities; most of the operators including Laguna now have karaokes, discos, bars, 'beer' gardens. I suppose thanks to PAS, UMNO has maintained the issuances and renewal of liquor license in Terengganu.

Live bands, ah... not so sure about that one. Live entertainment like modern-age dancers with fiery twirling sticks that we saw in May over the weekend at Redang Beach. They were dancing to rap music. There were beach disco also with live DJs playing the usual hip-hop, pop-rock, rap, techno, etcetera.

Pricing is not a problem, no more and probably less than K.L. Soda pop, like Sprite cost 1.20 RM at most eateries including the food court overlooking the beach disco at Redang Beach resort. I don't drink so don't remember or know what the beer was like, the mixed drinks like Campari on the rocks cost like 8 Ringgit. At Laguna, I enquired about Chivas Regal with green tea, no green tea but they (at the bar at the front desk location) serve by the bottle, and it cost like a few hundred Malaysia Ringgit, and it was negotiable? Mmmm ... never heard of that one before but then again I often do I drink.

Hope you get what you're looking for on Redang or any other cuti-cuti locations, cheers! It's tiger time ah :)

p.s. I am not touting for any resorts or brands by the way, just saying it like is as I know it :)

MY ADVISE IS: IF YOU WANT PUB, DISCOP OR BEER, GO TO KL OR SINGAPORE, I CAN RECOMMEND SOME , BUT FOR HEAVEN SAKE , NOT AT REDANG....
