Subject: Redang in December

Hi,

I was planning to go on a romantic trip to Redang with my girlfriend but have no time till December. I know that it is monsoon then.

Can someone tell me if monsoon is a bad time to go and the kind of problems we might experience? Also, if the budget chalets and resorts will be closed then?

Thanks.

Unless you consider getting seasick romantic, you'd be better off going elsewhere! :) Monsoon usually means rough seas, strong winds and heavy rains.

Most resorts are closed during monsoon season anyway from around mid-October to end-Feb/mid-March. They take this time to carry out maintenance works. Berjaya may be the only one open over the monsoon.
