Let me try and explain (imho):
- You have to feel comfortable in the sea.(Swimming is essential)
- Snorkelling is definitely not a group sport
- Group snorkelling disturbs the environment (Fish, Coral etc.) Not more than groups of four.
- Snorkelling is to lie quietly on the surface and enjoy what is happening around you.
- Do not feed the fish
- Do not step on the Coral
- Do not touch anything (living or seemingly dead)
- Read a book on snorkelling.
If you really want to snorkel and not just disturb the underwater life, take it seriously and you will enjoy much more.
Take my advice from over 35 years of underwater experience, things have changed a lot for the worse.
Rich
