I actually wanted to go redang on the 1/9 but was told that the monsoon season has arrived earlier by one of the travel agents... weird as thought monsoon only comes in OCT. He mention that some ppl was forced to ext for another day due to the monsoon.. I dun know how true it is but the agent sounds very confident!

I'm a regular on Redang. Frankly, I dont really mind if it is monsoon or otherwise. I take it as part of the tropical persona. Its still beautiful when it pours, roars or smile:)...perhaps the only setback is that the occassional tempest may upset boat schedules, offset your scuba diving plans or turn you 50 shades of green en-route to paradise...:)

By the way the so-called 'fixed timetable' for the onset of the monsoon season is not applicable anymore...

I'm not too sure about the Monsoon coming 2 months early. Either way, my trip is booked. No matter good or bad, gotta go.

Just wanted to know what the actual weather is like out there these days.

ok, some info here but use it with pinch of salt coz i was there 2wks ago, certainly not the most updated info

very sunny, very bright. hot yes, but not scorching hot though, just the type of weather excellent for snorkelling. not cloudy, and certainly didnt rain.

it was clear blue skies and very windy too. i enjoyed sleeping in the hammock. by late evening, it cld get chilly (fr all that wind).

Just got back from my trip there.

Had really fantastic weather on the whole except for a cloudy morning on the 3rd day there.

There were a lot of Italians for some reason or another staying at the Laguna.

Other than the weather, saw blacktips, titan triggerfishes, clown titan, clownfish, etc and many more. Really good trip.

The bus and boat journey and time were all worth it.
