Hey Sunkissed,

>yeah - i think it targets the Caucasian clientele as
>well (besides berjaya). well i think august last week
>should be rather full since it's Malaysia National
>Day, and Redang Holiday is also full on Sept 5-6. That
>much i know, not sure about the 3rd week tho - u
>really shld start booking real soon!! :) think i m
>more "kan cheong" than u haha

No lah, I prefer to plan as far ahead as possible but not this round. To many changes at work and unknowns at this time. One of the price some of us have to pay living in Singapore *sigh*.

>well maybe coz i've taken worse transport than
>Transnational...well i guess it depends on your luck -
>it could be noisy if sometimes they are playing a VCD
>on TV or there are kids/babies/large groups of

Me too, I taken the 15 RM$ blue bus from Melaka to Singapore - a short 4 hour ride though. Nah, he would not be staying at Redang Pelangi if he is the sort that flys over. It was his first visit to Redang. He's pretty a basic person, no fuss over food, just air-con as he used to the dry cool weather, hot-water and number one requirement - "no kar-chuar!"

>aww that's too bad then, looks like we'll not hv a
>chance to meet up in redang. i will be there starting
>first week of sept.

Again?! So soon? Lucky you! :))) Ah, we have the forum, the next best thing.

>hey i just did that - quit my job, and will be
>spending one month in redang. but it's not just abt
>winning toto, it's a matter of being brave enough to
>take that step.

Boy! It sure must cost a bomb for a month's stay. *Curious* You got some good deal or what? :)

Buddy told me to do the same thing, he saw so many fishes - he was lost for words. We kept asking... he saw and counted 11 baby black-tipped shark. He got a fright when he saw one adult shark - "scary man". He spent a great deal of time in the water and he went to Marine Park three times - paid once only though. He played with the clown fishes - quite aggressive, trying to protect the coral, one rammed into his mask! We had a good laugh over that.

>depends which side of the beach you're staying on -
>that would probably be the other side (redang reef)
>where they're building the new resort Laguna...redang
>holiday n all the resorts on the other side of the bay
>has been spared...

Good then... he told me it does not matter, as the either scene has been affected irregardless which part of Pasir Panjang.

I asked if he repeat it again, yes definitely with the same resort - I suppose he likes it cheap and good.

>hope to hear more about your plans for redang!! sure
>feels great planning a holiday rite??? :)

Still planning for 3rd or last week of August, I am in holding pattern right now. The missus was reassured by my friend that the waters were calm the three nights he was there 07/22-24. So we're 50 50 between Coral Redang and Redang Holiday. Definitely don't want to have a Villa, not just the cost but the climbing up and down the stairs - too tiring and inconvenient for father and missus but I am! Especially if it is seafacing!

I'm thinking, actually dreaming, of 3 nights stay, he told us 2 nights just isn't enough, and he was glad he took the additional night stay. It'll could be a couple of years before he visits Singapore again. As for me, either this year or bust. Next year, too many responsibilities. I wish I could just drop and go exploring Redang for a week! *Big sigh*. Oh well, just hope for the best.

Later, tangotee
