Hey Tangotee and ppl,

I am back from Berjaya Redang! The journey was incredibily long and bumpy, could not really sleep throughout and arrived at weird hour of 5am (i departed at 9pm from Sin).
So, advice for ppl going Redang is take the later coach fm Sin and arrive later at KT as the ferry will only depart
at abt 10am. We walked to Ping Anchorage Traveller's Cafe for Toast and Coffee before the 1 hr 45 mins ferry to Berjaya.

Weather turned out ok. Rained only on first night (which was ok as we were dead tired anyway upon arrival). Second day was not so sunny but no rain. Just nice.

I used private boat operater Zaki (who referred me to his uncle's boat as his boat was fully booked) for RM50 for 6
different snokelling sites. Sighted most common reef fishes, turtles and abt 5 baby sharks. (lucky, lucky).
Marine Park was disappointing though, as it was overcrowded and the beach is littered. No jellyfish (thank God), but got
minor irritation fm sealice bites (at the place where we sighted the baby sharks).

Food at Berjaya was good and we had cheap and good dinner at Aima Fish Grill (outside guard house)on the second night. Found out that Zaki (the boat operator) is the owner
of this restaurant as well...Told him abt tis forum and of people recommending to use him, he was so happy!

Berjaya staff told me that plans are on the way to build a
domestic airport at Redang island itself. So, in future we
can save ourselves fm the long journey by coach and go
direct by air instead.

Thumbs up for the white sandy beaches and clear blue water. It was an unforgettable experience.

Cheerios!
Princess.
