Yes, it is easy to eat outside of the resort. There is a grill place right at the door steps to BRBR. The resort is the best in terms of luxury on Redang island. For a honeymoon, almost perfect in August. One of the best beaches on Redang. No housereef only to the sides of the bay and quite a ways out. Beach is clean, has nice fine off-white sand and protected by the bay, so waters are relatively calm.

As for the construction, it was on going in August when we were there. It should be done by next August. They are expanding their resort by another 150 rooms.

Personal note: I feel a little nervous with Prime Minister Mahathir stepping down in less than year, election could be due next year and I am concern if and when the fundamental Muslim political party is going to seize control of the Federal government. I dread the changes should that happen. PAS is now the ruling state government for Terengganu and they don't like bikinis for sure. Imagine sun tanning fully clothed?!?

Peace,
J. Tango

Thanks for that reply. When are the elections likely and how likely is it that this fundemental party will get into power? Is sunbathing in bikinis already banned in Teregganu if the PAS is in power there?!
