Subject: Where to stay?

Planning my first trip to Redang. Am uncertain where to stay. Just need advice on a spot where there is good marine life closer to shore for snorkeling and where it's not so touristy...Any advice? By the way, any comments on Berjaya's chalets? If anyone has any accomodation recommendations from your experience, will be glad to heqar it...
