Subject: Perhentian / Redang Trip

I'm planning a trip to Perhentian or Redang this June. Not sure which island to go to.

I was told that I can go stay at Perhentian and make a day trip to Redang. Is this true?

In that case, should I stay at Perhentian Besar or Kecil. Read a post by someone that kecil was more happening and I would be fine with that. I'm not a pro diver, I just dived once in Pulau Tioman last year did the introductory dive, but I am looking to snorkel a lot.

I saw some packages at www.paradise.com.my but am not so sure which to choose or what to do !

Any help here would be very much appreciated.

A few things: you can go to both islands if you have the time. Ping Anchorage can organise that for you nicely. If you want to stay at Perhentian n then go to Redang, it'll be very xpensive n you need at least 8-10 people to convince them to go, or pay lots of money. Redang to Perhentian z very unlikely. Unless u stay at a resort w extra boat, like Berjaya - n then, also have to pay alot of money.
Snorkelling at Perhentian z good but many places, u gotta pay extra money to get to snorkelling sites, unlike Redang where they give you free snorkelling trips easily w your stay. Also, it's more commercialised there, meaning, don't feel too bad if you get slighted by the service to you. Maybe they didn't mean to discriminate.
Depending on wat kind of budget n wat u plan to do, Besar has bigger n better resorts as well as budget types, while Kecil not so. There r many choices to choose frm so spend some time looking through various websites.
Last time I did it, my hubby n I went to both Perhentian n Redang in 1 trip. Can b done.
