Ok, ill try to explain the -L1 thing. Its a 3D editing thing that is a secret in the game. Heres what you do:

1) Create a shortcut of the Real War .EXE on your desktop.

2) Right click -> PROPERTIES

3) Enter the following within the TARGET window:

"C:\Program Files\Simon and Schuster\Real War\RealWar.exe" -L1

This is the default directory, if you have installed RW somewhere else you need to specify its path.

4) That is correct: there IS a space before
-L1

PS: Thanks to Oliver for this because he made this instruction thing

Ok once you do what USAF said above you can open any models that you made with other programs and saved as ASE format then open them in the Real-war L1 model viewer and save them again as BSE format for use in the game. Can't get textures to work though.

So can you rename a 3D file from 3DS to ASE? Will that work?

Yes that would work since 3ds is a format used by most programs.Of course if the model needs some kind of animation or hardpoints then you need Studio Max 3d.

Yes! Its working. I cant get it to zoom though but at least it works.
Now, Methos, is it possible to change a .an8 file into a .ase file?

USAF

PS: I dont have a actual 3D .an8 file but I have the program to make it.

zoom is the - minus and + plus keys on the right side of the key board. Anyway if you still have the eds for that sr71 could you resend it as I didn't get a chance to check the ponly count on it, and I don't think I can open a .an8 file as these are the only files I can use in max.

I'll hunt around the internet to find a free and small program (4 megs max.) that can save one of those types.

Well most modders use Milkshape 3d which has a demo plus it only costs 20 to regester it.It mite have the ablity to save in 3ds format since most of the model I convert are ones people send me because you need max for it.

Also should the landing gears on the harrier's wing be down like it's landing or up for flight mode?
