The Leanne Jeanne drug scandal deepened today when it was revealed that Jeanne's first urine sample was not urine at all.
Former QPR man Jeanne was released by Rangers after missing several training sessions and completed a move to hometown club Cardiff City.
It was revealed this week that a sample provided by the player last season had failed a routine test.
City had given the troubled winger the opportunity to provide a second sample, but his failure to do so left the Cardiff board with no option but to dismiss him.
It has now been confirmed by the club that the first sample Jeanne provided was a not urine and the player had instead submitted a substitute liquid.
On top of his dismissal from City, failure to comply with testing could result in a two-year ban for the player. A very likely prospect given recent events.
