i have a female pitbull she is in labor her temp is 98.3 she has been digging,pacing and panting hard she wont get or drink, she also has water black poop this has been going on allday she is also leaking fluid that is milky clear i dont know if her water has broken and iam really worried this is her second litter and my frist her vagina is very wide and long but remains closed iam trying to figure out when to expect the puppies some say she could go on like this for days and others say any time if you have any advise for me besides stop worring i would apperciate it also the dr jerk needs to grow up and not use this web site for uncalled for and innapporiate comments kristine

hi,
The info you are all giving out is really helpful. I have a cocker spaniel who isn't due for 9 days yet but i have sorted her whelping box out for her anyway. As soon as she got in it she started ripping the paper and ruffing up her sheets. She's also gone really clingy. I am as excited about her having her pups as i was about having my own children.
