I just got off the phone with Gator. I know some people already know this.........but for the others here goes.
Gator and her family are fine. They didn't loose the house so they have a place to stay. However, they have no power and no clean water. They are sharing a generator with the neighbor and they all pile into one room and run a small air conditioner during the night so they can sleep. But during the day the heat and humidity is brutal. They haven't run out of food yet but have to go to Baton Rouge to get it. They are cooking (somewhat) on a small camp stove but have no ice or any way to keep fresh food. Even with all of this she said they are so fortunate that they didn't loose any family members, everyone is safe and no one was stuck on a roof waiting for rescue. That's our Gator!! She thanks everyone for their prayers and sends her love. She's decided NEVER to go camping again, by the way. She said they'll be "camping out" in the house for at least a month!

I'll be calling her again this weekend.
