Ginger looks fondly down at the young colt. Pity stirred inside her heart seeing him so depressed. [i]Of course he misses his dam[/i] She thinks.
"Hungy boy?" she talks outloud to the colt, though she knew he could not understand human language. "Come on." she says as she unties the lasso, pats Bella once more, then leaves the stable.
Ginger takes the young colt inside the hut she lived in. Inside, it was warmer, away from the wind. She didn't mind the hut becoming dirty. She hurried towards the kitchen and warmed up some milk and poured it into a suckling bottle.
She went back to the colt and offered the sucking end to him.
