If we're talking Barking & District Hall of fame, two names are well ahead of the field.

Only 3 other people have won overall Player of the Year twice, arguably the hardest trophy to win. They are Billy Elfes, Tony Parker and Richard Moore, but Darren Collison has won it 5 times and has qualified for Divisional finals again this year.

But only one person has a complete set of all 4 Individual Trophies,
Singles K/O x 4
Overall P.O.Y.
Tom McTaggert
Delegates Cup

That person is the Flying Dutchman (How did he ever qualify for Delegates Cup?)

Slow Worm would I be correct in including you in the previous winners of Singles K/O category, but surprisingly not in the Doubles, despite a legendary partnership with TP

I made the Delegates Cup as when my Dad was Captain of the best team thats ever been 'The Compasses' Dont know if the ruleing is still the same but if you attended 4 or 5 meetings that made you eligible to go in the Delegates.

Must be honest with everyone now, Who is this mystery person ... i need more clues, Got it down to Richard Moore, Rob Gould or Andy Chillingworth now. I'll stick my neck out and say its Richard Moore .

SORRY BUT I AM ROB GOULD AND IVE NOT BEEN NEAR A COMPUTER ALL WEEKEND IF I WAS YOU I WOULD LOOK A BIT FURTHER UP THE A12 FOR HIM . YOU SHOULD KNOW BY NOW I SAY WHAT I THINK TO PEOPLES FACES NOT HIDING BEHIND SILLY NICK NAMES. ON THE SUBJECT OF THE HALL OF FAME SOME OF YOU REALLY SHOULD GET OUT MORE OR MAYBE LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT THE GAME THAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT . OVER THE PAST 15 YEARS OR SO THERE HAS BEEN SOME EXCELLENT PLAYERS IN OUR LEAGUE. MANY MYSELF INCLUDED HAVE GONE ON TO PERFORM AT COUNTY AND INTERNATIONAL LEVEL BUT NONE OF US ARE IN THE SAME CLASS AS ROB HILL WHO WHATEVER SET OF RULES HE IS PLAYING HAS PROVED AGAIN AND AGAIN THAT HE IS NOT ONLY A GREAT PLAYER IN THE BDPL BUT UP AND DOWN THE COUNTRY. HE IS A TRUE SPORTSMAN . I WISH I COULD LEARN TO ACCEPT DEFEAT AS WELL AS HIM AND I GET A LOT MORE PRACTICE AT IT. THE MAN IS A LEGEND.
THE ONLY OTHER PERSON WHO COULD EVEN BE MENTIONED IN THE SAME BREATH IS STEVE SANDERS WHO WAS WINNING NATIONAL COMPETITIONS LONGER THAN HE WOULD CARE TO REMEMBER SOMETHING NOT MANY OF OUR OTHER HALL OF FAME CONTENDERS HAVE DONE ONCE . AND ONE OTHER MINOR REASON , HE IS THE ONLY WORLD CHAMPION THATS EVER PLAYED IN THIS LEAGUE AND MAY BE THE ONLY ONE WHO EVER WILL UNLESS ROB HILL WINS IT IN 2003 . THATS NOT PUTING DOWN ANYONE ELSES ACHIVEMENTS BUT THINGS MUST BE PUT IN PROSPECTIVE

I thought we were discussing a Barking & District League Hall of Fame.

That being the case we're talking of those who have achieved the most within the League.

No question Steve Sanders & Rob Hill are the two best players ever to have played in the League, and have undoubtedly achieved more outside the league than anybody else. But that's not the subject of the debate.

For whatever reason neither of them have ever won anything in the league. Neither of them have ever bothered seriously with the individual competitions within the league, otherwise I suspect they would each have accumulated a van load of B&D Silverware.

So, I'm afraid we ought to exclude them, or take it as read that they are automatic entries. Either way the arguement is who else should be included.

Still think Darren Collison & Andy Holland for reasons already stated,

other nominations:-

Paul Coleburn
Richard Moore
Rob Gould
Tony Parker
Peter Hall
Steve Adams
Gary Parsons
