Would like to know your views Zeds on rumours i've been hearing on doing away with the Barking Premier League and reverting back to the old system of a Division with say 15-20 teams,'n just a home and away match who's in favour of what ? I will be voting for the old way thats if it goes to a vote, Would like to play in more pubs like the Bull and Cauliflower, nothing against Ilford, Barking & Cueball but its nice to travel about in a season rather than just playing in three different venue's in year. Whats your opinion Zeds ???

Rumour is all it is Dutch.

Just like the subject of changing to World rules, plenty of people willing to big-up the idea after a few largers but no-one ever bothered enough to put it in as a motion at AGM.

Many people hanker for the old days when everyone played in a pub, usually the one where you did your drinking, but the emmergence of superteams has put paid to that. Team Captains especially in Premiership, now try to build strongest possible team, no matter where the players come from, instead of recruiting from the regulars of a particular pub. Nowadays a team is assembled and then they look for a suitable venue. Can't see league ever returning to being pub based, certainly not top division.

Still I suppose if you were that bothered you'd play for Crown next year and have a season travelling round the pubs in Division 1.

Hey!!! There's nothing wrong with the Crown. We have an excellent team who are growing in strength everyday. We play from a pub which is local to all and we will bring the premier back to fun times. We all go in good sprit and have fun!!! I think the league should make the premier out of 16 teams and lets get a little variety back in the venues.

Fun Fun Fun how we laughed, usually when the judge was playing.
The Crowns idea of fun is Mick Cracknell singing Elvis's lonesome tonight.

Best of Fun Luv Tony Parker

PS Has the table been straightened yet
