Greetings from the national office! We certinaly hope that you find this site to be a source of ACCURATE information and useful ideas. As you mentioned we deleted the "chatroom" on the national site due to the fact that it became a venue for negativity and INACCURATE information. I must repond to the comment that "local programs at times come up against situtaions that the materials from Alabama do not cover". The natinal office spends months gathering informaiton from local and state chairman and regional coordinators to ensure that we are staying current with the needs and concerns of both the LOCAL and STATE programs. As I am sure you are all aware, the national office establishes the rules and regulations and therefore should be quite familiar with their content and will always have a correct answer for ANY situtaion that might arise at the local level. While we understand and encourage the sharing of ideas, it is the forum you have selected that conerns us. We have found that chat rooms such as this can become a "melting pot" for destructive criticism and grossly inacurate info. We encourage you to continue your POSITIVE ideas but hope that when you are unsure of a situation that you would first contact your state director, for accurate guidance.
