I have a Canadian Red Cross patchwork quilt, which was given to my Mother - Grace Berry -by the CRC when I was born during 1944.

She lived in Croydon but was sent to Lockington Manor in Leicestershire, which the CRD had taken over to use for maternity cases of Canadian forces personnel. There she waited my birth.

When we returned to Croydon, the CRC still kept in contact with her, by bringing pans over and other helpful items, to help out after she/the house was bombed.

I want to know more. Is there anyone who knows anything about this period of time?

Kind regards

Jcqueline Lamberton
