Whether the staff of the hotel are independent of the NT is neither here nor there. And yes the gardens are well -kept.

Primarily - is Cliveden an NT property or a hotel? Well?

But I'm just relaying what comments I've had from people whom I've taken to Cliveden have told me - that it's like intruding on the grounds of a posh hotel plus my own feeling about the lack of Cliveden's evolution as a tourist attraction/ public country house.

I note that you say the NT are in charge of the grounds. So I take it the hoteliers are responsible for the entire house itself?

If "Cliveden" gets the money from the new CRXMH housing site - will it be the grounds that benefit and not the house/hotel? Only I was under the impression it was the house that needed the majority of the money not the grounds. Please can someone clarify where the money from the (proposed) CRX development is heading? Thanks.
