His answer to me when I'd ask why he didn't seem visually attracted to me was, "I'm just not wired that way." When I'd ask for further explanation he would never explain. For a split second I thought maybe he had "gay feelings" (never imagining he'd ever act on them), but then I'd go into denial - "that's impossible"- mode. To this day he remains a GID, but I know the truth for sure!
