just a question but in a few years time when you're 40 and the children are at school do you think it will be easier or harder to go through the process of separation?

I'm really sorry but I think Sue is right and the chances of him wanting to be with a boyfriend in a few years time if not sooner are high.

You cannot affect the sort of fathering he will provide, whatever you do. If you let him have a boyfriend and stay with you he will not thank you for it. And meanwhile you cannot have a full on husband, he cannot commit to you.
