>I am currently on workman's compensation due to an accident at the preschool where I work. I went back to work and am able to work in the classroom. Two weeks into the year, I attempted to do the bus duty, but was in a lot of pain because of it. My employer found a sub for the next week for my bus duties, and workman's comp paid for these two hours. The employer paid for 5 hours of my class time. After one week, my employer said she didn't want to do this anymore, and that I could not return to work until I could also do the bus duty. I have been volunteering in the classroom so that the children don't forget me. I received a letter from my employer today saying that she forbid me to volunteer in the classroom. Can she do this? My workman's comp caseworker doesn't have any problem with my volunteer time. The employer has many bus monitors that only do bus duty, so hiring one more is not a probllem.
