He stopped himself before he suggested she stay. One he would dearly miss was bad enough, and making her feel guilty would only make her burden worse. "Do what you think is best. I'm sure a long-time friend is more important than some stranger who stole you away and played with you once." He winced, missing them already. How he wanted to turn away, not have his last memory of them to be the two doves exiting the terra, but he stayed and studyed the three's faces. He never imagened his first steal to come to this tragic end.
