lol, yes, 'geek'. i never thought i would be such a fan, either. but i think the reason is because it's in movie format. i was never a big fan of fantasy type books when i was younger because i could never really envision it (and there were always really weird names for things that i couldn't pronounce! lol). but being able to see them visually has totally appealed to me. however, i did love the Harry Potter books the instant i read them, and they're kinda sorta fantasy. not on quite the same level as Tolkein, but sorta. anyways...maybe i should give the books another try....
