(He would have been both thrilled and frustrated to know where her train of thought was taking her. Years before he had been self-assured enough to simply take what he wanted, knowing that in the end it had been what she had wanted too, it had worked for them.. but now, now that she had turned her back on him, now that he had spent enough time in prison to know he couldn't kick everyone's ass.. well, he wasn't as ready to stick his neck out. And still, he wanted her with an aching passion that surprised him. He wasn't stupid, he knew that he loved her, that she was more than just a passing fancy in his life.. but it always seemed like they were on different pages. When they had been on the same page, well, the earth had shattered and they'd been in heaven for a few weeks. But now, he was listening to her, freezing his nugs off and wanting so badly to say something snarky to save himself the pain of hanging up all nice and sweet and missing her like he had missed her those first weeks after he'd gone on the run.) No. It's not wierd. I think it's saying a lot of things need to be thought about, Keisha. And I am not going to say another word on it. (Not right now anyways. He'd fight if he had to, but he'd fought before and got nothing but heartache, so it would take a lot to get this warriors heart back in the right place.)
