(He put his arm out along the couch to welcome her into his space as she walked over, lowering his arm around her as she settled into him, smiling when she assumed her typical position. He had thought perhaps she was annoyed with him, and it went a long way towards making him feel relaxed to have her sidle up to him and speak so affectionately to him. With his hand resting against her hip, he tipped his head to rest his lips against her hair for a moment, just listening to her and thinking about things. He wasn't sure he was ready to lay it all on the line, because he didn't really understand everything yet.. and the last thing he wanted to do was look stupid or weak in front of her. He had too much ego and too much intelligence for that. Instead he let his thumb run back and forth against the skin at her hip, where he had shifted her shirt aside to lay his hand on bare skin. He made a soft sound of dismissal at her comment about his serious thinking, remaining quiet until she spoke again. Looking down at her, he smiled, bringing his other hand up to brush her hair back.) Thanks, that means a lot to me, Keish. (He murmured to her, kissing her forehead.) There isn't much to talk about anyways, just a man's mental ranting. (He shrugged just a little, not wanting to affect how she was laying against him. He thought about what she had said about being glad he was there, and the tone she had used, and it made him feel a lot better about things, lightened his burden for sure. Silently, he shifted a bit to hold her better, making it so that he wasn't watching the tv so much anymore, just holding her and resting there.)
