Subject: The Bidayuh, God and Christianity

I do not profess to have knowledge of how the Bidayuh came to believe in God but what I have noticed in the course of my research is that evidence of contact with Christianity (and therefore by implication, belief in God)can be seen in the Budayuh folk tale, King Siliman who is believed to be the King Solomon of the Old Testament - a ruler with true wisdom. However, the tale does not give indication of the date of such influence. I hope this has been useful.
